Its basic task is to raise the general quality of the overall package, from the improvement of the basic infrastructure of the places and housing capacity, to the provision of a very broad range of services within a price range fair enough to guarantee a definite level of quality, that will be to the mutual satisfaction of both the user and provider of services. The tourist office is available as mediator for all receptive or initiative tourist arrangements. OTHER SERVICES In addition to the before mentioned lodging capacities, catering services in the area of Medjugorje and Bijakovici offer more than 20 restaurants, and a large number of cafes, pastry shops and pizza parlors. The number of souvenir shops is already more than 200. Transportation services are offered by more than 150 licensed taxi drivers and complete tourist arrangement are presently offered by six tourist agencies in our area.
